Itinerary
Day 1: Marrakech - High Atlas Mountains - Ait Ben Haddou - Ouarzazate - Dades Valley
Your 6 Days Tour From Marrakech to Chefchaouen via Sahara starts in the morning with pick-up from your accommodation in Marrakech. We leave the city and drive towards the High Atlas Mountains, crossing the Tizi n’Tichka pass with stops for panoramic views and photos.
Along the way, you will pass traditional Berber villages before reaching Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah. This fortified village is one of Morocco’s most famous kasbahs and is known for its traditional earthen architecture.
After the visit, we continue to Ouarzazate, often called the gateway to the desert. The journey continues through Skoura and the Rose Valley before reaching Dades Valley.
Dinner and overnight stay will be at a hotel or riad in Dades Valley.
Day 2: Dades Valley - Todra Gorges - Erfoud - Merzouga Desert
After breakfast, we continue the journey through the desert road towards Todra Gorges. These high rocky cliffs are one of the most impressive natural sites in southern Morocco, with time to walk and enjoy the views.
After visiting Todra Gorges, we continue through Tinjdad, Erfoud, and desert villages before arriving in Merzouga, near the dunes of Erg Chebbi.
Upon arrival, you will ride camels across the sand dunes and enjoy the sunset in the Sahara. After the camel trek, you will reach the desert camp.
Dinner will be served at the camp. In the evening, you can relax under the stars and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the desert. Overnight stay will be in a desert tent.
Day 3: Merzouga Desert - Rissani - Ziz Valley - Midelt - Ifrane - Fes
Wake up early to enjoy the sunrise over the dunes before breakfast at the camp. After breakfast, we leave Merzouga and drive towards Fes.
The road passes through Rissani, a historic town known for its traditional market, then continues through Erfoud and the Ziz Valley. Several stops can be made to enjoy the palm valley and panoramic views.
We continue through Errachidia and Midelt before crossing the Middle Atlas Mountains. On the way, we pass through cedar forest areas and Ifrane before arriving in Fes.
Dinner and overnight stay will be at a hotel or riad in Fes.
Day 4: Fes Sightseeing Tour With A Local Guide
After breakfast, you will meet a local guide for a full-day visit of Fes, one of Morocco’s oldest imperial cities. The visit includes the old medina, narrow streets, traditional souks, historic gates, old schools, and artisan areas.
You will also visit the famous tanneries and discover the traditional crafts that make Fes one of the most important cultural cities in Morocco. Lunch can be taken inside or near the old medina.
In the afternoon, you may visit viewpoints overlooking the medina before returning to your riad.
Dinner and overnight stay will be in Fes.
Day 5: Fes - Meknes - Volubilis - Chefchaouen
After breakfast, we leave Fes and travel towards northern Morocco. The first stop can be Meknes, another imperial city known for its historic gates, old walls, and traditional medina.
After Meknes, we continue to Volubilis, the Roman archaeological site surrounded by open countryside. After the visit, the road continues through hills and small towns towards Chefchaouen.
By the afternoon or evening, we arrive in Chefchaouen. Dinner and overnight stay will be at a hotel or riad in Chefchaouen.
Day 6: Free Time in Chefchaouen
After breakfast, you will have free time to explore Chefchaouen at your own pace. The blue-painted streets, small squares, local shops, and mountain views make the town one of the most peaceful places in northern Morocco.
You can walk through the old medina, visit the main square, enjoy local food, or take photos around the blue alleys.
