Itinerary
Day 1: Merzouga - Erg Chebbi Dunes - Sunset Camel Trek - Desert Camp
Your 3 Days Merzouga Nomad Camel Trek starts in the afternoon from Merzouga village. After meeting your local camel guide, you will prepare for the camel trek into the dunes of Erg Chebbi.
You will ride camels across the golden sand dunes and enjoy the peaceful desert scenery. Along the way, several stops can be made for photos and panoramic views.
Before reaching the camp, you will stop to enjoy the sunset over the Sahara. This is one of the most beautiful moments of the day, when the dunes change color and the desert becomes quieter.
After sunset, you will continue to the desert camp. Dinner will be served at the camp, followed by free time to relax and enjoy the night sky.
Overnight stay will be in a desert tent.
Day 2: Explore Erg Chebbi Dunes - Nomad Areas - Desert Camp
Wake up early to enjoy the sunrise over the dunes before breakfast at the camp. After breakfast, you will continue exploring the desert area with your local guide.
The day can include a camel trek through different parts of Erg Chebbi, with time to enjoy the dunes, open desert views, and quiet landscapes. Depending on the route and conditions, you may pass near nomad areas or desert viewpoints around Merzouga.
This day is slower and more relaxed, giving you more time to experience the Sahara atmosphere. You can take photos, enjoy the silence, and learn more about local desert life from your guide.
In the afternoon, you will return to the camp area and enjoy another sunset in the desert.
Dinner will be served at the camp. Overnight stay will be in a desert tent.
Day 3: Desert Camp - Sunrise - Return to Merzouga
Wake up early to enjoy your final sunrise over the Erg Chebbi dunes. After sunrise, breakfast will be served at the camp.
After breakfast, you will return to Merzouga by camel or 4x4 transfer, depending on your preference.
