Day 1: Fes - Ifrane - Cedar Forest - Midelt - Ziz Valley - Tinghir

Your 4 Days Desert Tour From Fes to Erg Chigaga starts in the morning with pick-up from your accommodation in Fes. We leave the city and drive towards the Middle Atlas Mountains, passing through Ifrane, known for its clean streets and mountain atmosphere.

After Ifrane, we continue towards the cedar forest near Azrou, where you may see Barbary monkeys in their natural surroundings. The journey continues through mountain roads, small Berber towns, and open landscapes before reaching Midelt.

After a short break, we continue through the Ziz Valley, famous for its palm groves and panoramic views. Several stops can be made along the way for photos before continuing towards Erfoud and the southern desert road.

By the evening, we arrive in Tinghir or the Todra area. Dinner and overnight stay will be at a hotel or riad.

Day 2: Tinghir - Todra Gorges - Draa Valley - Zagora - Mhamid - Erg Chigaga Desert

After breakfast, we visit Todra Gorges, one of the most impressive natural sites in southern Morocco. You will have time to walk between the high rocky cliffs and enjoy the views.

After the visit, we continue south through desert roads and valleys towards the Draa Valley. This long palm valley is known for its old kasbahs, palm groves, and traditional villages.

The journey continues through Zagora and the southern villages before reaching Mhamid El Ghizlane, the last village before the open Sahara. From Mhamid, we continue by 4x4 across desert tracks, rocky plains, and sand landscapes towards Erg Chigaga.

Upon arrival in Erg Chigaga, you will ride camels across the dunes and enjoy the sunset over the Sahara. After the camel trek, you will return to the desert camp.

Dinner will be served at the camp. In the evening, you can relax under the stars and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the desert. Overnight stay will be in a desert tent.

Day 3: Erg Chigaga - Lake Iriqui - Foum Zguid - Taznakht - Ouarzazate

Wake up early to enjoy the sunrise over the dunes before breakfast at the camp. After breakfast, we leave Erg Chigaga and drive across the desert tracks towards Lake Iriqui.

The route passes through dry lake landscapes, rocky desert plains, and remote Sahara scenery before reaching Foum Zguid, where the paved road begins again.

We continue towards Taznakht, a town known for traditional Moroccan carpets. After a short stop, we drive towards Ouarzazate, often called the gateway to the desert.

Dinner and overnight stay will be at a hotel or riad in Ouarzazate.

Day 4: Ouarzazate - Ait Ben Haddou - High Atlas Mountains - Marrakech

After breakfast, we leave Ouarzazate and continue to Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah. This ancient fortified village is one of the most famous kasbahs in Morocco and is known for its traditional earthen architecture.

After visiting Ait Ben Haddou, we cross the High Atlas Mountains through the Tizi n’Tichka pass. Several stops can be made along the way for panoramic views, coffee, or short breaks.
