Itinerary
Day 1: Agadir - Taroudant - Taliouine - Ouarzazate - Dades Valley
Your 3 Days Desert Tour From Agadir to Marrakech via Merzouga Desert starts in the morning with pick-up from your accommodation in Agadir. We leave the Atlantic coast and drive towards Taroudant, a historic town known for its old walls, traditional souks, and southern Moroccan atmosphere.
After a short stop in Taroudant, we continue towards Taliouine, a region known for saffron and Anti-Atlas landscapes. The road passes through small villages, open scenery, and southern mountain routes before reaching Ouarzazate, often called the gateway to the desert.
From Ouarzazate, the journey continues through Skoura and the Rose Valley before reaching Dades Valley. Along the way, you will see palm groves, kasbahs, rock formations, and valley landscapes.
Dinner and overnight stay will be at a hotel or riad in Dades Valley.
Day 2: Dades Valley - Todra Gorges - Erfoud - Merzouga Desert
After breakfast, we continue the journey through the desert road towards Todra Gorges. These high rocky cliffs are one of the most impressive natural sites in southern Morocco, with time to walk and enjoy the views.
After visiting Todra Gorges, we continue through Tinghir, Tinjdad, and Erfoud before arriving in Merzouga, near the dunes of Erg Chebbi.
Upon arrival in Merzouga, you will ride camels across the golden dunes and enjoy the sunset over the Sahara. After the camel trek, you will reach the desert camp.
Dinner will be served at the camp. In the evening, you can relax under the stars and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the desert. Overnight stay will be in a desert tent.
Day 3: Merzouga Desert - Rissani - Ouarzazate - Ait Ben Haddou - High Atlas Mountains - Marrakech
Wake up early to enjoy the sunrise over the dunes before breakfast at the camp. After breakfast, we leave Merzouga and begin the journey towards Marrakech.
The route passes through Rissani, a historic town known for its traditional market, then continues through desert landscapes and southern villages towards Ouarzazate.
Depending on time, we can stop near Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, one of Morocco’s most famous fortified villages and a strong example of traditional earthen architecture.
After the visit, we cross the High Atlas Mountains through the Tizi n’Tichka pass. Several stops can be made along the way for panoramic views, coffee, or short breaks.
