Day 1: Casablanca - Rabat - Fes
Your Morocco Family Desert Tour From Casablanca starts with pick-up from your accommodation, airport, or port in Casablanca. Before leaving the city, we can make a short stop near the Hassan II Mosque, one of the most famous landmarks in Morocco.
After the visit, we drive towards Rabat, the capital city of Morocco. Depending on time, you can visit Hassan Tower, Mohammed V Mausoleum, and the Kasbah of the Udayas.
After the visit, we continue towards Fes. Several stops can be made along the way for photos, coffee, or short breaks.
Dinner and overnight stay will be at a hotel or riad in Fes.
Day 2: Fes Sightseeing Tour With A Local Guide
After breakfast, you will meet a local guide for a sightseeing tour of Fes, one of Morocco’s oldest imperial cities. The visit can include the old medina, narrow streets, traditional souks, historic gates, old schools, and artisan areas.
You will also visit the famous tanneries and discover the traditional crafts that make Fes one of the most important cultural cities in Morocco. The pace of the visit can be adjusted for families, with breaks when needed.
Lunch can be taken inside or near the old medina. In the afternoon, you may visit panoramic viewpoints overlooking the city before returning to your accommodation.

Day 3: Fes - Ifrane - Cedar Forest - Midelt - Ziz Valley - Merzouga Desert

After Ifrane, we continue to the cedar forest near Azrou, where Barbary monkeys can sometimes be seen in their natural surroundings. This stop is often enjoyable for families and children.
The journey continues through the Middle Atlas Mountains towards Midelt. After a short break, we drive through the Ziz Valley, famous for its palm groves and panoramic views.
By the afternoon or evening, we arrive in Merzouga, near the dunes of Erg Chebbi. Dinner and overnight stay will be at a hotel or riad near the desert.
Day 4: Explore Merzouga Area - Khamlia - Camel Trekking - Desert Camp
After breakfast, we start exploring the Merzouga area at a relaxed pace. The visit can include Khamlia village, known for its Gnawa music, and nearby desert areas with black volcanic landscapes around the dunes.
You may also visit local desert villages, palm areas, and viewpoints around Erg Chebbi. This day gives your family more time to enjoy the Sahara region without rushing.
In the afternoon, you will prepare for the camel trek. You will ride camels across the golden dunes and enjoy the sunset over the Sahara. A 4x4 transfer can be arranged as an alternative to camels.

After visiting Todra Gorges, the journey continues through Tinghir and the valley road towards Dades Valley. Along the way, you will see palm groves, kasbahs, rock formations, and mountain views.

Day 6: Dades Valley - Ouarzazate - Ait Ben Haddou - High Atlas Mountains - Marrakech
