Day 1: Errachidia - Ziz Valley - Erfoud - Rissani - Merzouga Desert

Your 4 Days Desert Tour From Errachidia to Marrakech via Merzouga starts with pick-up from your accommodation or airport in Errachidia. We begin the journey by driving through the Ziz Valley, one of the most beautiful palm valleys in southeastern Morocco.

Along the way, several stops can be made for panoramic views over the palm groves and desert landscapes. The route continues towards Erfoud, a town known for fossils and desert products.

After Erfoud, we continue towards Rissani, a historic town linked to old caravan routes and traditional markets. Depending on the day, we can stop near the market area before continuing to Merzouga.

By the afternoon, we arrive in Merzouga, near the dunes of Erg Chebbi. You will ride camels across the golden dunes and enjoy the sunset over the Sahara.

After the camel trek, you will reach the desert camp. Dinner will be served at the camp, followed by a peaceful night under the stars. Overnight stay will be in a desert tent.

Day 2: Explore Merzouga Area - Khamlia - Nomad Families - Desert Hotel

Wake up early to enjoy the sunrise over the dunes before breakfast at the camp. After breakfast, we return from the camp and start exploring the Merzouga area.

The visit can include Khamlia village, known for its Gnawa music, and nearby desert areas with black volcanic landscapes around the dunes. You may also visit nomad families living around the desert region and learn more about their traditional way of life.

The route continues through small desert villages, palm areas, and viewpoints around Erg Chebbi. You will have time to relax and enjoy the quiet atmosphere of the Sahara.

Dinner and overnight stay will be at a hotel or riad near Merzouga.

Day 3: Merzouga Desert - Rissani - Erfoud - Todra Gorges - Dades Valley

After breakfast, we leave Merzouga and drive towards Rissani. This town is known for its traditional market, old trading history, and connection with desert caravan routes.

After Rissani, we continue through Erfoud and desert landscapes towards Todra Gorges. These high rocky cliffs are one of the most impressive natural sites in southern Morocco, with time to walk through the gorge and enjoy the scenery.

After visiting Todra Gorges, the journey continues through Tinghir and the valley road towards Dades Valley. Along the way, you will see palm groves, kasbahs, rock formations, and mountain views.

Dinner and overnight stay will be at a hotel or riad in Dades Valley.

Day 4: Dades Valley - Rose Valley - Ouarzazate - Ait Ben Haddou - High Atlas Mountains - Marrakech

After breakfast, we leave Dades Valley and continue through the Rose Valley, known for its valley landscapes and local rose products. The road continues through Skoura palm groves towards Ouarzazate, often called the gateway to the desert.

From Ouarzazate, we continue to Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, one of Morocco’s most famous fortified villages and a strong example of traditional earthen architecture. You will have time to visit the kasbah and enjoy the surrounding views.

After the visit, we cross the High Atlas Mountains through the Tizi n’Tichka pass. Several stops can be made along the way for panoramic views, coffee, or short breaks.
