Itinerary
Day 1: Marrakech - High Atlas Mountains - Ait Ben Haddou - Ouarzazate - Dades Valley
Your 3 Days Desert Tour From Marrakech to Agadir via Merzouga starts in the morning with pick-up from your accommodation in Marrakech. We leave the city and drive towards the High Atlas Mountains, crossing the Tizi n’Tichka pass with several stops for panoramic views and photos.
Along the way, you will pass traditional Berber villages before reaching Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah. This fortified village is one of the most famous kasbahs in Morocco and is known for its traditional clay architecture.
After the visit, we continue to Ouarzazate, often called the gateway to the desert. The journey continues through Skoura and the Rose Valley before reaching Dades Valley.
Dinner and overnight stay will be at a hotel or riad in Dades Valley.
Day 2: Dades Valley - Todra Gorges - Erfoud - Merzouga Desert
After breakfast, we continue the journey through the desert road towards Todra Gorges. These high rocky cliffs are one of the most impressive natural sites in southern Morocco, with time to walk and enjoy the views.
After visiting Todra Gorges, we continue through Tinjdad and Erfoud before arriving in Merzouga, near the dunes of Erg Chebbi. Upon arrival, you will ride camels across the sand dunes and enjoy the sunset in the Sahara.
After the camel trek, you will reach the desert camp. Dinner will be served at the camp, followed by a peaceful night in the desert under the stars.
Day 3: Merzouga - Rissani - Alnif - Taznakht - Taroudant - Agadir
Wake up early to enjoy the sunrise over the dunes before breakfast at the camp. After breakfast, we leave Merzouga and begin the journey towards Agadir.
The route passes through Rissani, a historic town known for its traditional market, then continues through Alnif and the desert landscapes of southern Morocco. We continue towards Taznakht, an area known for traditional Moroccan carpets, before crossing the Anti-Atlas region.
After passing Taroudant and the surrounding plains, we continue towards Agadir. By the evening, we arrive in Agadir.
